Wow of Felixstowe Becomes Woe

Now To this

Bomb Site on our Seafront were the headlines of the local paper,  with action being demanded to tackle the eyesore.

Councillors seem hard pressed to solve many of the problems caused by their policies. The shared space scheme criticized  by many businesses and described as an accident waiting to happen must be an insurers nightmare with no-one being at fault. Observing a blind man white stick in hand walking directly towards an oncoming car does give cause for concern. But some people love the open plan approach which others hate.

North, Central, and Now South Seafront  Plans are going ahead  with rocks being moved to protect the coastline from  Cobbold’s Point to the war memorial. Residents ashamed of taking visitors to the once prestigious yacht pond area  now termed a bomb site hope this will be sorted as soon as possible. The flood plain building plans application is being resubmitted for the South Sea Front. Past Press headlines “ We Don’t Want It” for the original scheme  and termed the great land give away.are being ignored and the council hand in hand with the builder are determined to commence building shortly. Residents concerned about this building have been horrified with the plans to build three storey  blocks on earth banks. Just how disabled  people will manage  the steps up to these buildings remains to be seen  but no doubt planning permission will be no problem for the builder with council backing. Residents will certainly no longer be able to see the sunrise and the right to light enjoyed since 1898.
