Suffolk Carer’s Spring outing 2009

Spring Outing 2009

The Suffolk Carers Spring outing took place in glorious suntrap type sunshine all day long at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.

Carer’s were given an information leaflet to enjoy the historic quaintness of the surroundings  such as the historic Moot hall dating back to 1650 and Hampton Court type chimneys  and the modern Scallop made of stainless steel dedicated to Benjamin Britten  and made by Maggi Hamblin in 2003  pierced with the words  “ I hear the voices that will not be drowned “ from Britten’s opera Peter Grimes.

Tea was enjoyed at the Meare watching the boats at Thorpeness carer’s  were thankful to enjoy a thoroughly excellent relaxing day out  thanks to the work of the Suffolk Family  Carer’s. See Website http://www.suffolk-carers.co.uk/
