Battle against erosion continues 17 February 2007 as more rocks are piled behind Felixstowe promenade. visitors watch the expertise of the workers as rocks small and large are placed in strategic positions. Work commences as soon as the tide is low enough for the JCB's and dumper trucks to get on the beach and lorries arrive at the Manor Terrace dumping ground through out the day. The effect and quagmire is seen below with local residents taking all the inconvenience in their stride as they are used to being dumped upon by the council The bottom right picture shows part of the beach steps recovered that had been damaged by the sea. The rock pile for repairs and in the background the Martello Tower build to defend England from Napoleonic invasion but which seemed to be completely left out of the council building plans, but thanks to it being a listed building has survived the rigors of council destruction and mismanagement.
