The Folly of Council Plans to build on the Felixstowe South Seafront Land is illustrated by these pictures taken after the predicted high tide of 1st November 2006. The wind was off the land having a calming effect on the sea so the wave wall seen on the right was able to stop the water, even so it is obvious that the money spinning building plans are shown to be at high risk of life and property.

If the land is not to be used for recreation and leisure purposes as laid out in the local plan perhaps the council will now reinstate the huts they removed from the land which would at least provide some income to set against beleaguered council tax payers.
