Look at that it’s  Sloighty On Th' Huh !!! Came out in general conversation  but met with blank looks and lack of comprehension!

What did you say ?

Its Sloighty On Th' Huh the sign over there look !

Oh you mean that it’s crooked ! Yes that what I said its sloightly on th’ huh.

Being an Academic the commentator said I’ll just have to get to grips with the Suffolk Dialect.

 Well I said, I believe there’s even a book title to that effect by Charlie Haycock  if you really want to delve into some of the Suffolk Sayings.

These are usually told with a deadpan face leaving the listener wondering if the yokels are really that thick or do the smiles hide a hidden humour that gets to the real truth of the matter.
