Officials find themselves in hot water

Swimmers have been officially warned  off Felixstowe Beach  because of undersea hazards which might lead to compensation claims--and the resort isn't happy about it.

Today the Environment Agency which put the up signs said it had not meant to stop people swimming and pledged to amend the notices.

Felixstowe councillors are angry about the signs around half of which have now been removed  on groynes between Manor End and Landguard
